Can Paris Street Furniture be left freestanding?

Have you recently viewed our range of Paris Street Furniture items and wondered how they will look in your facility? Did the question of whether it ‘can be left freestanding’ arise? We are here to quickly answer that question!

There are a couple of Paris pieces that can be left freestanding. This includes the Paris Bins, Planters, and Platform Benchs. The Paris Platform bench is the only seating item that has four legs which provides it with stability.

The rest of theParis suite needs to be bolted down. This includes the seats, benches, table, and picnic settings. The architectural design of the angled legs used in the Paris suite is what doesn’t allow them to be left freestanding.  This design is what sets the Paris suite aside from the rest of the Astra suites and other street furniture pieces on the market.

If the furniture pieces were to be left freestanding, with the weight of people sitting on the seat/bench, they would fall over. It is important that the Paris suite is bolted down so it doesn’t cause injury to users on or around the furniture pieces.

All Paris pieces have base plate legs ready to be bolted down, although the fasteners are not supplied. Fasteners required will be dependant on what type of surface they will be installed onto. Ask one of our highly trained sales consultants what fasteners will be required for your landscape area.

We hope this has answered any questions or concerns on whether the Paris suite of furniture pieces can be left freestanding in your facility!
