About Queanbeyan High School

Established in 1959, Queanbeyan High School is an inclusive government-funded coeducational secondary school who offer an extensive range of academic and non-academic opportunities. It is a day school, located in Queanbeyan, in the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales.

Apart from the standard English and mathematics courses, some of the other subjects the school offers include creative arts, languages, religion & ethics, life skills, PDHPE, and more. The school also runs a number of innovative programs including The Personal Best program, in which students select to be in these classes if they wish to be challenged and encouraged further in their learning. 

Between the ages 13-19, students spend a large proportion of their time at school. Queanbeyan High School understands the importance of installing shade structures to keep their students safe from excessive sun exposure during this period of their life, and used their funding to invest in shade umbrellas over their picnic settings.
