About Doonside Technology High School

Doonside Technology High School provides students with state of the art science and technology facilities. This includes an industry standard commercial cookery centre and a Metals and Engineering trade training centre. Combined with 6 new science laboratories and a newly created senior study area, students can study in facilities that allow them the best opportunities for success. The school also boasts a fully equipped fitness centre with facilities comparable to commercial fitness gyms.


The Requirement

To help the school create outdoor spaces that are functional, comfortable, and inviting for both students and staff. 


The Challenges

  • Functionality and Flexibility: The furniture should be designed to accommodate a range of activities that students may engage in during their break periods, such as studying, socialising, eating, or relaxing.
  • Durability and Weather Resistance: Given the outdoor setting, the furniture should be robust and able to withstand various weather conditions such as sun, rain, and wind.
  • Aesthetics: The furniture should visually align with the school's modern, technology-focused aesthetic.
  • Safety: Safety is paramount in any school setting. The furniture should not have sharp edges or corners and should be stable to prevent tipping.
