The Requirement

To improve the design, beauty, and safety of the current outdoor seating spaces at Auburn North Public School, to create areas that are not only fun but also inviting for students during their breaks.

The Challenges

• Durability and Longevity: The furniture should be capable of withstanding the elements, including sun and rain, for a prolonged period.
• Safety Considerations: Ensuring that the furniture is safe and devoid of any sharp edges or materials that could potentially harm students is a priority.
• Comfort and Ergonomics: The furniture needs to be comfortable to encourage students to use these areas during their breaks.
• Space Optimization: Finding furniture that utilises the available space effectively without causing congestion or restricting movement.
• Maintenance: Considering the long-term maintenance requirements, including cleaning and repairs, is essential.
• Virtual Visualisation: Before making a significant investment, schools need to understand how the new furniture will fit and look in their specific environments.

The Solution

Auburn North Public School placed a lot of importance on visualising how different furniture would fit into their space. They utilised Astra Street Furniture's 3D Rendering service to compare the area's appearance before and after the new furniture was placed.

After evaluating the challenges, requirements, and visualising how the furniture would look,  Auburn North Public School selected several unique and colourful pieces of furniture including the Spencer Picnic Setting,the Woodville 1500mm Seat, Woodville 180 Degree Angled Bench and a number of 4 Sided Liverpool Settings.

The Spencer Picnic Setting offers the following features:
