That’s why we’ve introduced a 25-year Structural Integrity Warranty, alongside material warranties of up to 15 years.

What Does the New Warranty Cover?

The new warranty covers the structural design and engineering integrity of the product against failure for 25 years from the date of delivery, subject to the warranty conditions.

It’s our way of giving councils, architects, schools and facility managers added confidence in the furniture they specify or purchase, knowing we stand behind what we make.

How Does It Work Alongside Material Warranties?

The structural warranty sits alongside separate warranties for individual materials and components, including:

• 15 years: cast aluminium, aluminium and stainless steel.
• 10 years: aluminium slats.
• 7 years: galvanised, zinc plated and anneal steel.
• 1 year: Merbau hardwood and Enviroslat slats.

Each period is subject to the policy’s conditions and exclusions. The 25-year structural warranty does not extend every material warranty to 25 years.

Which Purchases Are Covered?

The updated policy applies to eligible Astra products purchased directly from Area Safe Products Pty Ltd after 1 September 2026. Earlier purchases remain covered by the previous policy.

Products must be installed and maintained according to the applicable Astra guides. Coverage is subject to the full warranty conditions and exclusions.
